The Department of Human Resource Development & Performance Technologies (HRDPT) offers two baccalaureate degree majors, Human Resource Development or Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising; both programs offer a balance of classroom study and experiential learning. Competencies designed into the programs focus on planning, managing, organizing, and evaluating education, training, and other human resource development and merchandising functions. Through their comprehensive, experiential focus, the programs prepare students to lead in these challenging career fields. Additional department offerings include a minor in both Human Resource Development and Textiles, Apparel, and Mechandising.
Graduate programs offered in Human Resource Development are a Master of Science degree and a Master’s Certificate in Human Resource Development. The HRDPT department, in collaboration with the departments of Built Environment, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, and Applied Engineering and Technology Management also offers a Ph.D. program in Technology Management with a specialization in Human Resource Development. Students planning graduate study should consult the Graduate Catalog for information about graduate degrees.
