Master Sergeant Kesha L. Alvis is the NCOIC of Air Force ROTC Detachment 218 at Indiana State University. She is responsible for the administration of all AFROTC cadets on the Indiana State University campus as well as cadets from 5 other “cross-town” colleges in the Terre Haute region.
MSgt Alvis enlisted in the Air Force in May 1996. From there, she went on to Sheppard AFB, TX to learn her AFSC. Afterwards, she PCS’d to Minot AFB, ND; Elmendorf AFB, AK, and then to Keesler AFB, MS, where she retrained into the Personnel AFSC. Her first assignment as a Personnelist was to Seymour Johnson AFB, NC from there, she went to the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, VA. MSgt Alvis has a Community College of the Air Force degree in both AFSCs and is working towards her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.
