Captain Troy W. Jeffers is currently an Associate Professor of Aerospace Studies and both the Operations Flight Commander and Recruiting Flight Commander at Air Force ROTC Detachment 218 at Indiana State University.
Captain Jeffers received his commission through the United States Air Force Academy in 2008 where he was a distinguished graduate in his major’s field of Management. Before assuming his current position, he served as the Chief of Acquisition Management for the Detachment 2, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, Arlington, Virginia.
Captain Jeffers is an Acquisition Program Manager with 5 years of military service working on the Department of Defense’s largest Acquisition Program as an Information Technology Manager, a Chief Information Officer, and a Follow-On Development Program Manager. Additionally, he deployed to Camp Phoenix in Kabul, Afghanistan at the Defense Contract Management Agency’s (DCMA) Headquarters from November 2012 through June 2011 where he served as the HQ DCMA Operations Officer in charge of a personnel security detail team and led over 190 combat convoy missions around the Kabul, Afghanistan region. He holds an Associate’s Degree from Lincoln Trail College, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy, and a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. He assumed his current position in April 2013.
