ISU’s College of Technology hosted the 5th annual “FIT for the Future” conference for 103 students and 16 teachers from 11 different high schools on April 11, 2012. Participants enjoyed presentation from members of Females in Technology in the morning and attended a variety of technology workshops facilitated by ISU female students.

The second half of the day brought a professional perspective to the table when 12 professional women presented their experiences to the participating students during a networking session after lunch. Students learned how these females chose their careers, the paths they have followed in building their careers, and how to take advantage of opportunities in the world of technology, engineering, and manufacturing.

After lunch many of the girls participated in the Techno Fashion Show, where they displayed what they had made in their workshops.
